After completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at Acadia University, Jessica moved to Fredericton for the first time to attend the NewBrunswick College of Craft & Design. Alongside the Foundation Arts Program, she began a part-time job at the YMCA, and it was during this time that she discovered her love for working with children. She soon applied for and was accepted to the Bachelor of Education Elementary Program at UNB the following year.|

Since then, Jessica has had extensive experience working with children in many settings, from summer camps and after-school programs to teaching in the public school system. Ever since first learning about it at UNB, Jessica has held the
Montessori philosophy close to her heart. She is grateful to now be working in a setting that truly cultivates the independence and unique strengths of each child.

Outside of RLMC, Jessica also works as an artist and can be found creating digital art and acrylic paintings. Her artwork has sold to many different clients including UNB and several elementary schools around New- Brunswick. Two of her paintings, highlighting the responsibility of our roles as educators, can be viewed in the Education building at UNB here in Fredericton.

Jessica’s other hobbies include health and fitness, reading, & spending time with her partner Alex and dog Bentley.
